The Boys are Back In Town!!!

I don't know much about Thin Lizzy but I guess now is as good as time as any to get my learn on. It is snowing here in Blue Island for the first time in decades, and when I say decades I mean days, so I think I'll just start a fire and enjoy one of the many books discussing the inspiring but often temultuous relationships that defined Thin Lizzy.
I digress.

Amazingly, everybody lived through new years eve. Thank you to all the old fans, new fans, and even the non-fans who were dragged to the show. We had a blast and hope you did too. We had soo much fun we are going to be doing it again Saturday Feb. 9th at the Hub in Cedar Falls. The Blend, a hip-hop/rock band from Minneapolis, will be starting the night off.

Almost as much fun as watching a BIT show is watching the crowd at a BIT show. There are always a few fans standing in the corner, off in their own world. Some fans stand in the middle of the crowd and just bob their heads up and down. Some fans get their whole body into it and some even do something comparable to "dancing". Other fans run and jump around like complete lunatics. And finally, there are the fans that get up on stage and "join" the band.

No matter what your M.O. is, we appreciate each and every one of you. We can't express with words how much fun we have watching you have fun, while watching us have fun. Did you get that, because I didn't. The point is, THANK YOU!!!!

Now.... here's the deal. The band is going to be spending the spring getting ready for the summer tour. In these few shows before the summer we are going to be trying some things that have NEVER been done before in the history of the world. Some will work and some will fail miserably, either way, it will be entertaining. I promise.
Irrelevant Fact of the Day: M.O. is short for Modus Operandi

New Years Eve Reunion Show

Today is the day!!! The band has traveled by plane, bus, and car to get here but everyone arrived without a problem. After two days of practice and storytelling the excitement has grown into what some might call "a frenzy". Is there any way that this show can possibly meet the expectations? I don't know, but after sitting in on a practice....... all I can do is laugh, and laugh ALOT. There are lots of surprises planned and I can't wait to see it all come together.

The last two days have been just like a huge family reunion complete with crazy distant relatives and drunk uncles. The band members have all embraced the drunk uncle moniker very well. They all seem to be striving in that role.

I have heard many new stories this time, many of which I'll share with you in the coming months. Mostly of earlier shows and crazy "Trainwrecks" (more on this term to come). It has been a wonderful trip down memory lane and at the same time a chance for the band to prepare for the upcoming summer tour and beyond.

I hope we all make it to 2008!!!!
happy new year
